Welcome to the LightHouse Youth Winter Cabins Retreat!

We are thrilled to have you join us for a time of fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth in the beautiful winter setting. To ensure everyone's safety and create an environment where we can all thrive, we have established some important rules. By attending this retreat, you agree to follow these rules without exception.

Winter Cabins Retreat Rules:

1. Respect: Show respect to all retreat staff, fellow participants, and the cabin facilities. This includes listening to and following instructions given by retreat leaders.

2. Safety: Safety is our top priority, especially in a winter environment. Stay with your group, follow all safety guidelines, and report any hazards or injuries to a retreat leader immediately. This includes being cautious on icy surfaces and during outdoor activities.

3. Participation: Engage fully in all retreat activities, including worship sessions, group discussions, games, and snowball fights. Your active participation is essential for spiritual growth and building a stronger community.

4. Behavior: Maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times. Bullying, disrespect, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

5. Substance-Free Environment: The use of alcohol, drugs, or any other illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in immediate dismissal from the retreat.

6. Curfew: Adhere to the established curfews and quiet hours. Respect the need for rest and reflection time for all participants.

7. Dress Code: Follow the retreat dress code to ensure modesty and appropriateness, especially in the winter setting.

   Winter Apparel: Dress warmly and appropriately for outdoor activities. This includes wearing layers, hats, gloves, and boots suitable for snow and cold weather.

   Modesty: Clothing should be modest, covering shoulders, midriff, and thighs. No revealing clothing, such as short shorts, crop tops, or low-cut shirts.

   Other Guidelines: No clothing with inappropriate or offensive language or graphics. Avoid tight-fitting clothing (including leggings or body-expressive dresses), ripped jeans, and jewelry.

Consequences of Rule Violation:

Failure to follow these rules will result in immediate dismissal from the retreat without a refund. No exceptions, no excuses. This policy ensures that everyone can enjoy a safe and spiritually enriching experience.

By signing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to follow the rules outlined above. You also understand and accept the consequences of failing to adhere to these rules.

Welcome to the LightHouse Youth Winter Cabins Retreat!

To ensure a clear understanding of the responsibilities and risks associated with the retreat activities, we require all participants to agree to this liability waiver. This waiver acknowledges the inherent risks involved in winter retreat activities and affirms that participants and their guardians understand and accept these risks.

Liability Waiver Agreement:

I, the participant (or parent/guardian if participant is under 18), acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to participate in the LightHouse Youth Winter Cabins Retreat organized by LightHouse Youth, affiliated with Light of the World Christian Church. I understand that participation in retreat activities may involve inherent risks, including, but not limited to, physical activities, winter sports, outdoor adventures in snowy and icy conditions, and other retreat-related activities.

By signing this waiver, I agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that there are risks associated with participation in winter retreat activities, including potential injury or harm due to cold weather conditions, slippery surfaces, and outdoor activities. I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

2. Responsibility for Safety: I agree to take full responsibility for my own safety (or the safety of my child) while participating in retreat activities. This includes dressing appropriately for cold weather, following all retreat rules, guidelines, and instructions provided by retreat staff, and using caution during outdoor activities.

3. Release of Liability: I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless LightHouse Youth, Light of the World Christian Church, their staff, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my participation in retreat activities. This includes, but is not limited to, liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.

4. Waiver of Right to Sue: I waive any right to bring legal action against LightHouse Youth, Light of the World Christian Church, their staff, volunteers, and representatives for any injury, damage, or loss sustained as a result of my participation in retreat activities. This waiver applies even if the injury, damage, or loss is caused by the negligence of the released parties.

5. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless LightHouse Youth, Light of the World Christian Church, their staff, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action brought by any third party arising out of or in connection with my participation in retreat activities.

   
   

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of this liability waiver. I also understand that this waiver is binding and that by checking the box, I am giving up certain legal rights.
